Greetings, programs! Read this thread for very important information regarding Tourist Accounts, and feel free to ask any questions regarding this subject. It's important that everyone knows as much about this feature as possible!
It's been agreed between Heffy, myself, and heavy helper Collin that the Dream League should try something that Fantasmic Kingdom has not: Disney-to-Non Disney crossovers. The crossovers will be under very strict supervision and care, but we decided to go ahead and test it, and see how it turns out.
Of course, everyone here has their Disney/Dream League characters, so they can be used in Non-Canon adventures. That goes without saying. But if you want to play as non-Disney characters in non-canon crossovers, then you will create a Tourist Account. You may have noticed the Collin Tourist Account, and the Joseph Tourist Account already.
"What is a Tourist Account?" Put simply, it's your ticket to participate in non-canon crossover threads as non-Disney characters. If you want to participate in, say, a hypothetical crossover--let's say Dream League x Capcom--and you want to play a Capcom character for the crossover, then, with your [Your Name Here]tourist account, modify your profile to reflect the Capcom character you want. It's simple, really!
Right now you're probably asking, "Why can't we just use separate accounts for non-Disney characters in the non-canon threads?" Because 1) this will avoid clutter, 2) this will keep track of non-Disney characters easily and won't make the Members page muddy, and 3) because we said so. Nya-nya-nyaa! *swigs glass of brandy*
I encourage everyone to make a Tourist Account, even if you don't want to join the current non-canon crossover. This is encouraged just so everyone has a Tourist Account at the ready, in the future.
The Tourist Account must be called Xtourist, with "X" being your name. No exceptions, please. When a Tourist Account is made, an admin will modify the profile to represent the Tourist Group. You will know this because the Tourists are in emasculating pink! <3 And don't worry; once your Tourist Account takes on a non-Disney character, you can modify the account's display name to reflect that character. Icons, banners, quotes, etc. can also be used, just like a normal character account.
When a crossover thread has concluded, the name of the account must/will be reverted to '[player name] Tourist Account' and all quotes, images, etc. removed so that the foreign character to the site does not have a lasting presence outside of their use. When the time comes to use it again, the same steps can be repeated to reflect the new character. In basic terms, the Tourist Accounts will be re-used in new non-canon crossovers in the future.
Only one Tourist Account is allowed per person, period. If multiple outside characters are played, they should all be played from a singular account, so choose wisely!
Finally, here's a very important rule. The Tourist Accounts may only post in-character in non-canon crossover threads. Under NO circumstance may they post in canonical threads. Violators will feel my wrath!! *holds up Thor's hammer*
