I think I might take a challenge from the "Never Will Make It Thread" and switch to trying to make the Walrus a great villain. The Walrus and The Carpenter is one of my absolute favorite poems/movie scenes. He'd totally win over on your hockey puck eating skills. Ppffth, and there would be no pressure. It would help with trying to narrow down my ginormous list of considered characters!

@joe: I can beat that! *puts ketchup on own foot and tries to eat it* I haven't seen Alice In Wonderland in ages, but the Walrus sounds like he'd be interesting to have running around, lol. Who are some of your other character choices so far? I know you said you're not a Disney expert, so maybe this'll come in handy: disney.wikia.com/wiki/The_DisneyWiki

Nicole, I got a kick out of that. :B
More Alice in Wonderland (animated) characters are always welcome! Yes, what are your ideas so far, Cheltsie?

Internet died at home, am at work now. Last reply for awhile. =) I was looking at Disney Wiki, and had about a dozen pages open. I'm not looking at the taken list right now so I'm going totally by memory. =) I think I was looking at Joanna, Cody from Rescuers, am also a fan of Bernard though I'm not sure I want to pick him up if he's been in play. From Beauty and the Beast, was looking at Mrs. Potts, Cogsworth, Maurice or perhaps one of the other items. Peter Pan also, looking at Mr. Darling and perhaps the older Darling son or young Wendy. There were others. Walrus, who would almost be more interesting as a camero/sidekick. And, and..Oh! Perhaps Prince Eric. Perhaps someone from The Incredibles (my all time favorite movie, horribly obvious or not for this game ^_^).
But anyway, I like either outgoing characters or grouches. The best are the outgoing-grouch good guys that are not bungling. Uhm, can not think of a Disney character that matches this description. I'm sure I figure it out in a week from now. =)
Annnd, off to teach some preschoolers! Ya'll have a good day/afternoon/night!

Hey there, newcomer person! I'm Heffy, Admin #2... or #1... or #3. Take your pick.
Great to have you aboard! VERY impressed with your character selection - obscure characters for the win! <3 Bernard was actually recently dropped, but he was never used at all so he's up for grabs. Prince Eric, too, was made at one point but never even posted once. Personally, I think Cogsworth would be a riot to see, and a great possibility for time-based superpowers.
Just let me or Joseph know if you've got any other questions! Looking forward to threading with you. ;D

Don't know what you have in mind for Joanna, but I just love her!
Now would be a good time to brush up on your Disney characters by watching some of those lovely animated features. Got Netflix?
Okay, ya know who I've always thought would be an awesome character to RP? J. Thaddeus Toad.
I've never used him because there seemed to be too much overlap with Basil, both speaking in British-isms, both smartly dressed, both propelled at times by manic energy...
But think of the possibilities:
Toad's new mania is super-hero-ing! He must become a super-hero at any cost! But he has no powers...pfft! What is that when one is rich as Croesus?
Spending gobs of money, Toad, king of the short attention span, takes on one identity after another, each ending in disaster.

Those are all some great choices, Cheltsie. The idea of Cogsworth as a superhero makes me grin. He's such a fun character. And Eric! <3 I agree, Incredibles is awesome. It's actually one of my favorite superhero films.
If you can't join Netflix, then might I suggest YouTube or Truveo? They've got a lot of Disney films and series available for viewing.
Good idea for Toad there, L. He'd prolly work the Dream League and the ECPD's nerves, haha.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA! Time out. Collin comes in fifth place for an introduction?! Well to HELL with the lot of you! ESPECIALLY you, Heffy! Nah, I kid because I love.
Hey there, hi there, ho there, you're as welcome as can be! I'm Collin. You can call me Collin. I play as Cold Shadow, Bert, and the Coachman here. I've been role-playing since late 1999, and have been independently writing since well before that. You may also correctly assume that this makes me as old as dirt. Not the ancient kind of soil, but the nice kind you can buy in bags at planting stores. Not that high quality sort, though. No, more like the generic, off-brand bags of dirt. Who would pay that much money for dirt, anyway?
You obviously have a lot of class to consider playing as George Darling. Only the classiest of mofos would play as Mr. Darling himself. Honestly, I could just ravage you right now while moaning about cufflinks and die a happy mammal.

I don't think I can do Netflicks where I live, but I may play with Youtube at some point. Old Chip'n'Dale episodes sounds like a fantastic idea!
I suppose one person's beloved character is another person's obscure one. I've almost always preferred the side characters or villains over the main characters and heroes. I remember as a little thing adoring characters like Ursula and Cruella de Vil and even wishing they'd have won. Pretty sure Ursula was my favorite Disney character for a few years there. I also remember that the Garbage guy---what's his name?---and Bert were my favorite Seaseme Street characters.
Finding a way to do a character that is constantly changing identities would be a lot of fun! Can only seem to think of Warner Brother possibilities on that one at the moment. I'll look up Toad... But the way you describe him makes me think of Winnie the Pooh. Wouldn't it be a riot to have him or Piglet as superheroes? EDIT: OH! ROBIN HOOD! Or one of his men! Doi!
Time related abilities? That would be nigh impossible to play out I'd think, except to keep Cogsworth stuck in multiple parallel universes. Poor guy!
Mr. Darling is the picture perfect individual for a secret identity for a certain sort of superhero, methinks. When I was a little girl, I used to think every single time I watched the movie was a new generation all together, with Mr. Darling being John or Michael from the previous generation of the last time I watched it. He has that touch in him where... He could be the total anti-romantic, anti-idealistic, world-weary and worried individual in his every day identity, but become something a bit more whimsical, though not quite childish, as a superhero. Good heavens, I could create a whole backstory about WHY he says he saw that pirate ship as a little boy and how he rediscovers something about it after the events of the first movie and... ~shuts up before the babble-brook floods~
Edit :: Now I'm at qualms as to whether Mr. Darling would actually be better or Mr. Banks. Characters molded from the same coin!

I love Disney villains, too. It's been said that a film is only as good as its villain, and that's why Disney villains are especially memorable. The garbage guy's name is Oscar the Grouch. Of course, Sesame Street characters and Warner Bros. characters are not permitted in the Dream League. Just Disney characters, and very specific exceptions as listed in this thread. Please keep this in mind. thedreamleague.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=essentials&action=display&thread=12Mr. Banks and George Darling are both marvelous characters!

Collin has a shoddily-constructed hand puppet of Darkwing Duck on his right hand, and one of Helga Sinclair on his left.
"Hi! I'm Amanda, and I'm admin #3!" He does his best attempt at a ventriloquist, but his mouth still moves and sounds as though it's stuffed with cotton as he bobbles the Darkwing Duck puppet to indicate it is the one currently 'speaking.'
"Hello, there! I'm Susan! Pleased to meet you!" He adds in a gruffer tone, bobbling the left hand with the Helga puppet.
