I actually considered Davy Jones at one point.

I love Davy Jones! He's my favorite thing about the second and third Pirates movies, and I do mean that as a compliment.

And he's the best of the Monkees! After Peter, that is.
I may be the only one on this site, but I like Home on the Range. Allthough I can't see myself using a cow super-hero, maybe Rico or the Willie Brothers would be worth considering.
Since somebody registered as Elisa Maza, I also thought about Gargoyles. My fave is Lexington (the cute one).

We actually did have an Alameda Slim in the Star Wishers. For those of you who need a reminder, the Star Wishers was the 'original Dream League' RPG way back in 2006. We also had a Mirage (Incredibles) and Syndrome there, too.
I'd also like to see more Gargoyles characters in Dream League. And, yeah, you would think that The Incredibles would be a no-brainer inclusion. I told Heffy and Collin this, but I, personally, think that the reason why no one has made an Incredibles character is that we tend to try and focus on unheard-of/unique characters. No offense to The Incredibles of course! I'm not saying that in a bad way. That's just my theory. Of all characters from that movie (any would be awesome), I would love to see Syndrome.
Fun fact: I considered making the Underminer as one of the first 'boss fight characters' the Dream League faces, way back in the creation of the forum. lol

And he's the best of the Monkees! After Peter, that is. LOL. Yeah, I'm not big on the POTC sequels myself, but Davy is cool. I actually like HOTR too, L. A cow superhero would be interesting to see if done well. I'll leave the idea up to more skilled persons tho. Lex is adorable, and I also like Broadway and Hudson. Macbeth is another favorite of mine's (and one character I admit to having a fangirl crush on). I don't think I could do any of the Gargoyles characters justice however. Most of the villains from the show would be a good match for the Dream League. Joesph, I think you might be onto something concerning the lack of Incredibles characters. People may find it more interesting to take a non-superhero character and turn them into one, rather then portray a character who already is a superhero.

9/10 Collins and Joes agree that his name should have been Queens. Macbeth is another favorite of mine's (and one character I admit to having a fangirl crush on). Know her?! I NAMED her! Joesph, I think you might be onto something concerning the lack of Incredibles characters. People may find it more interesting to take a non-superhero character and turn them into one, rather then portray a character who already is a superhero. Or characters who are heroes, though are very obscure. I'm not sure anyone on this board knew who Maui Mallard/Cold Shadow was besides Joe and myself.

I loved the Cold Shadow game when I was a kid! I used to play both the SNES and PC versions a lot (they were pretty different). Here's an adoptable character for you all, and I hope it's obscure enough. CONDORMAN!!

That's Michael Crawford, you know, of Phantom of the Opera fame.
I saw Condorman on its original run. There aren't many Disney movies I don't like, but this one is no great shakes, IMHO.
The opening credits, however, were the absolute best! If you have Netflix and love Disney animation, you might consider it worth your while to check it out.
I knew who Cold Shadow was immediately. I still have my PC game, though I never got very far. Once I beat that stupid giant spider, I had so few lives left, I always died soon.
If only you could save the game wherever you needed to.

I'd love to see the Rocketeer in Dream League, myself. Or even Howard Hughes as Insane Man! His abilities include his slow, spiraling descent into madness, ultimately preserving his own excreted waste and living as a total recluse.

One character I've been thinking a lot about recently is Charlotte La Bouff from The Princess and the Frog. She's one of my favorite characters from the film, mostly because of her personality: though spoiled and self-centered, she's nevertheless a great friend and supportive of Tiana. But she's also hilarious and flamboyant, and I think she could fit in Dream League nicely. I was thinking of her nicknamed Mardi Gras, and she would have theatrical, unorthodox powers. I don't really know what, but, hey, this has been on my mind.

9/10 Collins and Joes agree that his name should have been Queens. *sees what you did there* Or at least I think I do... I guiltily admit to never having heard of Cold Shadow until Collin began playing him and I Googled the character. But he's pretty cool. That dude in the Condor costume is Michael Crawford? Get out of here! The Rocketeeer! Good call! Insane Man, oh goshLottie as a superhero would be ingenious! I would love to see her on the League (as well as Lexington if possible). I agree that with a codename like Mardi Gras, her powers would definitely be flashy: something to do with sound, color, or light maybe? Must brainstorm some more solid suggestions...

The Rocketeer is one of my top 3 live-action Disney films, so I decided to list super-heroes from the other two:
Harpoon (Ned Land)
Hard-hitting, hard-drinking hero fights tyrants and madmen both above and below the waves, using his water-breathing ability, his energy harpoons, and his pet sea lion.
Knock-Out (Cordy Drexel-Biddle)
Debutante by day, crime-fighter by night, she employs her patented Dynamite Right to make Philadelphia safe for eccentric millionaires. Watch your footwork!

I was wondering when someone else was going to make a Happiest Millionaire reference. And it's funny you should mention 20,000 Leagues; for a while, I considered making Captain Nemo.

I've never actually heard of Happiest Millionaire before. I miss the days when channels aired the old live-action Disney movies on T.V. You see a few here and there occasionally, but not as much as you used to.

Heffy and I were talking about this the other day. The Disney Channel used to be my favorite TV channel in the whole friggin' universe. I watched it EVERY SINGLE DAY for years, and it was the best thing ever! Aw... depression, where is thy sting? As for The Happiest Millionaire, I believe that was the very last movie that had personal involvement with Walt Disney, who died during production. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.
Okay, back on topic! I have something to suggest. It's not really a character, so much as a concept. I think it'd be cool if there was some kind of up-and-coming terrorist organization that eventually has conflicts with the Dream League. I won't say who I think should run the organization or whatever, but it'd be cool in a comic book/James Bond sort of way. Susan came up with the brilliant idea of a recurring laboratory, and that inspired this desire of mine.

You're right on about Happiest Millionaire, though I gasped out loud to find that someone on this very learned board had never heard of this gem.
I'm surprised no one has taken the following non-super supporting characters:
Edna Mode, fashion-designer to the supers
Philoctetes, trainer of heroes
Lots of possibilities there.

I'll have to keep an eye out for Happiest Millionaire.
I'd like to see Epcot City get a mayor, and I'm thinking of taking on the character myself. For some inexplicable reason, Clarabelle Cow came to mind for the position, but I want to see if someone else has any other ideas.

A woman in power? Ehhhhhh........ ( ) ;D Insane, I know. An election does sound pretty fun! Speaking of Mortimer Mouse, I think he'd make a good antagonist of some sort, not necessarily a supervillain.

Hey-lo, everyone! New writer/player here. Have been RP'ing for over a decade, but only in email. Forums sort of terrify me, but this concept is too much fun to pass up.
Some of the given references here are lost on me. I think I know Beast and The Incredibles from what I understand as the current list of suggestions. =) Not a Disney expert! But anyway, I'm totally up for trying to work something out perhaps with someone that wants a partner/antagonist or the like with a character already in play. Or trying to find a way to make a character fit a general concepts like the investigator/police force, if anyone else has more to say on that. Still trying to navigate my way through the forum and get a feel for this community, any useful prods of "what we want to see!" would be awesome.
Top consideration at the moment is Joanna the lizard from Rescuers Down Under for a villain... But I'd very much like to come in with a good character as my primary. Looking forward to finding a fitting start to writing with ya'll!

Hey, Cheltsie! Nice to meet you! I'm Joseph, but you can call me Joe if you'd like. I'm one of the admins here, so I'd like to help you in any way I can. *puts on a maître d' uniform* And don't you worry, because we'll help you get acquainted with the forum system we got here, so the transition should be as easy and stress-free as possible. The first thing you should do is decide on a character. Joanna isn't taken, and that'd be an awesome pick. When you do choose a character, be sure to modify your "cheltsie" acount so that the display name is your character's name. But don't worry, I'll help you out with that! As for a good character, I suggest checking out the Taken Character list to see who is and who isn't taken, and you start from there. If you have any questions or concerns, please send me or She-Wolf a private message, and we'd be happy to help you.

Hi there, Cheltsie! Good to have you here. We're a pretty harmless (but nutty) lot for the most part. Hmm, I don't really have any characters/concepts in particular that I'm just dying to see, other then more villains maybe. But I don't want to pressure you into getting a certain character or anything. Anyone you pick would be good. Joanna would be quite interesting to have around. I always get a kick out of seeing the less popular characters get some love. Looking forward to threading with you. XD
